Step-by-Step: Create Recurring Invoice in Zoho Books


Step 1: Enable Recurring Invoices (If Not Enabled)

  1. Go to Settings ⚙ → Preferences → Sales

  2. Enable Recurring Invoices

  3. Save

Step 2: Create a Recurring Invoice Profile

  1. Go to Sales → Recurring Invoices

  2. Click + New

  3. Select Customer

  4. Enter Invoice Details:

    • Tax

    • Terms


Step 3: Set Schedule

Choose:

Repeat Every

  • Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Yearly

Start Date

  • First invoice date

End Date (Optional)

Never Expires (For ongoing contracts)

You can enable:

  Auto-send to customer
  Auto-charge (with saved card)
  Auto-reminders
  Payment links

Recurring Invoices are automatically created based on a configured schedule. Here you can configure the auto-charging option and the process of sending these invoices to your customers.

Invoices will be saved as drafts. You can review and send them to your customers for payment.
