Why GRN does not create an accounting entry in odoo ERP.
GRN = Stock Picking (Receipt)
A GRN is an inventory operation, not an accounting document by default.
Accounting entry is created only if,
X Product valuation = Automated (Option not available with odoo 19)
✔ Product Valuation = Perpetual at Invoicing
✔ Product type = Storable Product
✔ Product category has Stock Valuation Accounts configured
✔ Product category has Stock Variation Accounts configured
Go to Accounting>Review>Inventory valuation>Generate entry: Inventory valuation (Journal Entry)
If valuation = Periodic at closing
❌ No journal entry is posted at GRN
✔ Accounting happens only when Vendor Bill is posted
