How to Take Backup from Odoo Online?

Download Backup from Odoo Database Manager (Recommended)

1. Log out of your Odoo Online system

2. Open this URL in your browser:

3. 1. Log in using your Odoo admin (master) account

   2. You will see the list of your databases

   3. Click ⚙️ Manage Databases

   4. Select Backup

   5. Choose:

      • Backup format: ZIP

      • Check Include filestore

   6. Enter your Master Password

   7. Click Backup → File will download

   📦 This ZIP contains:

   • Database (PostgreSQL)

   • Attachments (documents, images, invoices, etc.)

Restore Backup to Odoo

You can restore this backup to:

• Another Odoo database

• Odoo.sh

• On-premises server

Note: – for Odoo online restore, contact Odoo support and share the backup with master password.

Steps:

Go to:

1. Click Restore Database

2. Upload the downloaded ZIP

3. Choose version and database name

4. Restore

• ❌ No automated scheduled manual backups (Odoo handles daily backups internally)

• ❌ No server or filesystem access

• ✅ Manual backups can be taken anytime
